Zespri® Kiwifruit Ma-Haw
The royal Thai d’oeuvres with simple preparation; top-grade pork mixed with variety seasonings and complete flavour placing on the kiwi sliced into bite-size.
- 2 Zespri® Green Kiwifruit, finely chopped.
- 5 Zespri® Green Kiwifruit, cut crosswise (approximately 0.5 mm. thick)
- 20 grams ground pork
- 1 tablespoon ground roasted peanut
- 10 grams palm sugar
- 2 tsp fish sauce
- 2 tsp vegetable oil
- 7 cloves of garlic, chopped
- Red chilli / coriander if desire
*Ma-haw is an appetizer that is uniquely Thai. It is made of sour fruits cut into bite-size with the stuff as topping.
Heat the oil, pour in the garlic, and gradually add the ground pork and chopped Zespri® Green Kiwifruit. Wait until the pork is cooked, add the ground roasted peanut and stir-fry for good scent.
Season with palm sugar and fish sauce; stir-fry all mixtures until they are well mixed.
Turn off the heat and wait until it cools down.
Serve by placing the Ma-Haw* stuff on Zespri® Green Kiwifruit sliced crosswise; garnish the topping with coriander and red chilli sliced obliquely.
